Castrol Mustang
The "Castrol EDGE Titanium Driving Challenge" is a mix of the real and the virtual world , Fans of video games will definitely want something to try for themselves. Car fans, of course, as well. When I watch such a video, after a short time, I'm at it, dive in and imagine what it would be like to drive. That's definitely intended and I mean - well done. If you're impatient, scroll down to the video at the bottom!

What is Virtualdrift about?

A car, a man , a helmet: Formula Drift rider Matt Powers drives a real drift stunt in his converted Roush Stage 3 Mustang. But that alone is not enough. He dives from the real world into the virtual and wears a state-of-the-art Oculus Rift Development Kit 2 helmet. With this headdress he sees the world with different eyes. It plunges into a virtual 3D world that provides an exciting high-risk trail.

Driver Matt Powers says after the video shoot," Virtual Drift has been the most exciting and challenging experience of my life so far. Not only did I find my involvement in the next-generation testing process fantastic, but also the opportunities for motorsport in general absolutely overwhelming. I had to rely on my instincts and the car, while the power of Castrol EDGE in the engine gave me the certainty that the car would reach its peak performance.

Of course, all the components must fit together and play along. The right car that arouses emotions and has power, the Mustang. But the technology is part of it. From the high-performance tires to the engine power every detail is important. But without the right oil, nothing works. In motorsports, the requirements are much higher on an engine oil. Since the oil film must not tear, otherwise the engine makes "plöpp" and that's it. Similarly, a good engine oil must reduce the friction, so that the engine power is maintained and can be maximized to the max. That's what Castrol wants to show us with his video. Even if you do not see the engine oil while driving, it's good to know if you can count on it.

Update: Unfortunately the video is no longer available!
